Licensed to practice law in Florida since 1987, Mr. Fogel founded Mitchell C. Fogel, P.A. in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in March of 1991, following his early experience practicing law at other well known and respected law firms in South Florida. In 1998, Mr. Fogel and Seth I. Cohen formed Fogel & Cohen, L.L.P. In early 2007, he and Saara J. Pekale formed Fogel & Pekale, LLP. Presently, the law firm is known as the Fogel Law Group and, while the firm's name has changed, the purpose and culture of the firm remains the same: to provide the highest level of legal service, counseling and professionalism to the firm's small business, lending and property owner clients. Mr. Fogel is a graduate of the University of Florida (B.S.B.A. 1983, Highest Honors; Gold Key and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies); George Washington University, National Law Center (J.D., 1987; Phi Alpha Delta), and was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1987.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1962, he was raised and educated in Miami, Florida and has seen and been a part of the tremendous growth and expansion that South Florida has experienced. His experiences and relationships have enabled him to form, build and expand his law firm into a growing and dynamic business. In addition to his law firm, Mr. Fogel owns a number of other businesses and real estate in South Florida, from which he has gained considerable "real life" experience and skills that enable him to better represent his clients on all sides of business and real estate dealings. He and his family reside in Boca Raton.
Mr. Fogel is a member of the American Bar Association (Sections: Real Property, Probate and Trust Law; Business Law; Science and Technology; Franchising); Florida Bar Association (Sections: Real Property, Probate and Trust Law; Business Law; General Practice Solo and Small Firm); and the South Palm Beach County Bar Association.

Mr. Fogel is also a Designated and Certified Closing Attorney for SBA Loan Transactions.
Mr. Fogel's other activities include: Chairman, Fogel & Cohen Foundation, Inc.; Board of Directors, Palm Beach County American Cancer Society; Trustee, Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce; Director, Commercial Industrial Real Estate Brokers Association; Business Development Board of Palm Beach County; Realtors Commercial Society of Palm Beach County; Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Broward County; Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW); Internet Coast; and the South Florida Technology Alliance. Mr. Fogel is also a member of The National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL) and The National Association of Development Companies (NADCO).
He has been an Instructor with the National Business Institute and was a Faculty Member of Broward Community College, in Broward County, Florida, where he taught "Real Estate Closings and Mortgage Law", and a Faculty Member of Rollins College, in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he instructed the courses of "The Law of Business Organizations" and "Real Estate and Mortgages". Mr. Fogel also served on The Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Hollywood, Florida from 1992 to 1997. He also maintains an active Florida Real Estate License, has been a Coach in the Soccer Association of Boca Raton since 1998 and Boca Hoops since 2003, and is a Certified Soccer Referee with the Florida State Referees.
